about ryan gunderson

Ryan grew up playing youth and high school hockey in the  Philadelphia area, before joining the University of Vermont as a recruited walk-on. There, he earned a scholarship and became the career leader in games played (148). Ryan’s 18-year professional career began in the ECHL, moved through the AHL, and included top European leagues like the SHL, KHL, and Swiss NLA. He was part of an SHL championship with Brynäs IF, earned all-star honors in the SHL, Swiss NLA and KHL, and represented Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Now, he uses his global hockey experience to help defensemen develop smarter, more purposeful play through personalized coaching.
